Classic Welding Cap Size Guide
Step 1: Measure Your Head Circumference (A)
- Begin at the center of your forehead.
- Wrap a fabric tape measure around your head, going over the ears and around the nape of the neck.
- Return to the starting point at the center of your forehead.
- Ensure the tape measure is where you’d like the band of the cap to lay.
- Record the measurement in inches or centimeters.
Step 2: Measure The Depth (B)
- Position the end of the fabric tape measure at the top of your head, just above the ears.
- Bring the tape measure down the sides of your head, covering the ears, to the point where you want the cap to end.
- Record this depth measurement in inches or centimeters.
Step 3: Select the Appropriate Size
- If your measurement falls exactly on a listed size, select that size.
- If your measurements are between two sizes always choose the bigger size
Step 4: Bill Length (C)
- Measurements (C) indicates the length of the bill.
Step 5: Verify Fit
- Once you receive your welding cap, ensure it fits snugly but comfortably.
- The cap should not be too tight to cause discomfort or too loose to slip off during work.
Care Instructions
- Most welding caps are made of 100% cotton and should be washed in cold water.
- To reshape caps, insert both fists into the crown and twist in opposite directions gently, without breaking threads.
- Hang or lay flat to dry.
Using a size chart correctly ensures that your welding cap will provide the necessary protection and comfort while you work. Always double-check the manufacturer’s guidelines for the most accurate sizing and care instructions.
